Alien looking thick boy tentacle for enjoyable afternoons. It follows the tip bone. You can parent a few first bones to follow the path inside the target mesh and then animate thrusts by moving the tip. It has a tendency to spin in certain positions, you can work around it or rig it a different way. I find this type of rigging works better for me personally.
